When and why did you decide to work in the Optometric field?

I actually fell into this field in 1995 after leaving Dental School and had to pay bills to make ends meet. I really enjoyed working at Linden Optometry in Pasadena. So, I decided to apply and got into Optometry School, and the rest is history.

What do you enjoy about Optometry? What do you enjoy in your current job?

This is a health-care field that is immediately satisfying when patients regain their vision whether it be eyewear or contacts. The gratification of helping each patient re-energizes me daily. These daily interactions serve as a natural high that keeps me going.

What are your hobbies?

Tennis, cycling, dragonboat paddling,

What sport team(s) do you enjoy watching?

College football: Go UCLA Bruins and go Cal Bears! Tennis, US World Cup Soccer

What movie or genre do you enjoy watching?

Sci-fi and all documentaries

What food do you like?

All types, but especially South Indian.

What do you like to do on your days off? With family? Where do you plan for your next vacation?

Work out, hang with family, play tennis with my daughter

How has this world pandemic affected you, how have you been coping and live with it?

This pandemic has made me tougher, which reminds me of the song by Kelly Clarkson “Stronger.”

Dr. Quach is a graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry with Beta Sigma Kappa honors and Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. She spent time in central Mexico serving the indigent. She served as a Captain in the Air Force, where she provided vision for military pilots and other airmen. She is a member of the California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and VSP.

She enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with family on Disney Vacation Club Holidays.

I decided to work in the optometric field when l was in high school. Since l enjoy photography,the camera is similar to the eye.

I enjoy optometry because l am making a positive impact on society.

My hobbies include being an amateur astronomer,am an audiophile with my home theater system,do film photography ,going to the beach and an occasional bike ride.

I enjoy watching college football and college basketball,and some pro teams.

I enjoy watching documentaries on PBS,movies like Star Wars and drama.

I am considering going to Europe on my next vacation,as well as Big Sur/ Monterey in the near future.

I like all types of food.
